We could sure use some help!
Prayer is the number one need, and we do need money to pay the bills, but sometimes what we are really looking for is someone who can do a certain job, or who is simply available, and willing to offer an extra pair of hands when needed.
Certainly, if you live within commuting distance to either our headquarters in Hamilton, ON, or to Gateway Missionary Training Centre in Langley, BC, there are lots of opportunities to make a difference. For example, when Candidate Orientation is on at headquarters, there are usually about 20 to 30 people at meals. (Gateway's Trax program has a similar need.) There is always a need for help in food preparation, even if all you can do is peel potatoes. How are you at gardening? Can you push a lawnmower? Are you handy with maintenance work or fixing things? How about office work? Do you know your way around a computer? Do you have some specialized skill or trade that might come in handy? Please let us know if you have something to offer! (Those who might wish to volunteer at Gateway should contact them directly. Just click on this link for contact information.)
There are some services, like graphic design and printing, that can all be done over the phone and internet. If you have expertise in some area that you think might even be remotely of use to us, please send us a message on the Contact page. It might not be something we are looking for at the moment; then again, it might be something we desperately need.
Finally, many missionaries need a place to stay while on home leave. If you have or know of a place that might be appropriate, please let us know.
